Moschino Rubiks Cubes

Wow, a few days ago I found out that in Milan there is going to be an exhibition of the creative invites to fashion shows. How creative, you ask? Well, take a look

These rubiks cubes were invites to a Moschino show, and I'm guessing that the "instructions" paper is probably the details... or maybe they actually put instructions on how to solve it!
Personally, I love the idea of a rubiks cube invite. Not only because it's super cute and creative, but I also have a love for rubiks cubes. Have I ever solved one? Yes. Without any help? No. Although, I do have a friend who is amazing at solving them, and competes - he can solve a 7x7... and really quickly, too.
I so badly want one of these Moschino rubiks cubes.

What do you think of them?

Replicas, Replicas...

Recently, Steve Madden has been under a lot of heat for copying the shoe designs of important designers. A few weeks ago, I was browsing Mandee online. I saw a pretty purple dress that I was tempted to buy, but didn't at the moment since I didn't have an occasion to wear it.

Then recently, I was looking at the party pics on teen Vogue's website - and I found this photo of Anne Hathaway wearing a Marc Jacobs dress at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2009 Costume Institute Gala.

Déjà vu. To make sure I wasn't just imagining, I went back to the Mandee website since it had been a while, but there's no denying that it's a total ripoff of the Marc Jacobs dress.

How do you feel about companies reproducing cheaper versions of designer items? Would you buy it?

Christian Siriano for Payless

I finally saw the Christian Siriano line for payless, and I'm a little disappointed. There are only 4 items - a pair of flats, a pair of peep-toe pumps, a bag, and pair of booties that I actually rather like. The peep-toes and booties are both cute, but there's really nothing very special or different about them. However, I still really like the booties and will probably buy them; the blue color is gorgeous and I love ankle boots. What do you think of the collection?

Also, I spent a good chunk of last night playing around with polyvore, and here's one of my first attempts at making a set. I saw this shirt and just started building a set around it, with the theme of "black and gold" like the Sam Sparro song. And once again, you can see my love for ankle boots!

And I just found out that I can embed the whole thing, which is pretty cool. I'm loving this whole fashion-related online world: I've recently discovered Chictopia and Fashionista too and I'm having a lot of fun going through all the clothes :]

Post Fashion Week

Hey, everybody!
I know I haven't blogged in a while but I was just feeling so uninspired with fashion and had so much on my plate. Although this is something that I do for fun because I enjoy it, it's also a responsibility in a sense and when it starts to feel like one, I just lose the spark and excitement I have about it. However, over the past week I spent hours and hours pouring over fashion week photos when I should have been doing my homework, and it was so worth it. Some of the collections this season just BLEW MY MIND, specifically the Alexander McQueen shoes and Viktor and Rolf gowns - AMAZING! Here's some of my favorite pieces:
